So I figured on calling my imprint Kelpie.
I'm Scottish. I write fantasy.
It works for me.
But there already is a Kelpie Publishing. I'm not linking to them because they totally stole my name.
Now I need to think of a new imprint name.
How did you come up with yours?
I chose Storm Moon Press for a few reasons. The Storm Moon is the March moon. My co-author and I were both born in March. We love rain and storms, too. The two colors associated with the Storm Moon are green and purple. It so happens my favorite color is purple, hers is green. :) Because I am pagan, Storm Moon was a phrase I knew of, and thus, it wasn't difficult for my mind to put it all together as a name for our imprint.
ReplyDeleteI also have a pretty good knack for naming things. Kris is terrible at it. *laughs* I wind up naming most of our characters as well as the books themselves.
As a fellow pagan I had considered that... but most pagan named imprints are for non-fiction pagan books.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite colour is Lilac, but there is a Lilac Publishing.
I chose IncuBooks because I wrote Save My Soul before Kept and it features an Incubus. Plus I have a hardcore crush on Cain, the head incubus.
